Ok so now were ready to put riffles in our box

1. measure the length of your box then deduct 1 foot (if the box is 3 ft long then your measurement is 2 ft)

2. Take this measurement and cut two pieces of your "l" channel angle this length.

3. Measure the width of your box between the side boards. deduct 3/8 inch. This will be the measurement for the riffles.

4. cut 4 pieces this length.

(note you will cut more after we check the riffles layout and make sure our measurements were correct)

Now lay the two long pieces up the sides of the box and lay the shorter riffles pieces across them.

check to see that everything looks ok and is going to fit. the riffles should be loose inside the box if they are tight across the box you may need to trim them a 1/8 in or so.

Now that everything's looks to be right lets go on.

Take the riffles out of the box and place the side pieces down the length of the box with one side of the "l" against the side boards of the box and the other in the air parallel to the bottom of the box. To keep them held up place the riffles under them.

The riffles should be fairly loose if you have to force them in-between the side lengths then they are too tight and need to be trimmed.

1.  Measure back about 1 1/2 in from the edge of the long side pieces at what will be the top or feed end of the sluice box. Place a mark there on each long side piece.

2. From that mark measure down 3 inches and place a mark. This will be the spacing between your riffles. repeat this process till you have marked the length of the long side piece.

3. repeat this process for the other long side piece.

next we'll attach it all together
