Rank
Descriptions //.
Please
make sure you are active before deciding to apply for a rank of any kind. Remember
it is up to you to get a rank, do not rely on the alphas giving them out.
Alphas:
[1 of each gender]
The main leaders of the pack. They are both mates,
and can do near enough anything. Alphas are the only ones that can promote and
demote members. They are also the only ones that may declare war, raids or make
alliances and enemies. They are the ones that make all the final decisions. Ask
the alphas for permission to mate, or perhaps permission to spar for a rank if
you so choose. Though at the end of the day failure to submit could end up being
fatal here.
This rank may not be challenged for
Legends:
[Unlimited - though to an extent]
These are the ex-alphas of a pack. They
are wise and experienced and can help the Alphas as advisors. They have the utmost
respect of the pack and are usually the parents or grand parents of the current
alphas. They are now retired but not useless. Their experience is valuable and
they are the storytellers, head medics and main advisors to the alphas. Remember
everyone will listen to their parents.
This rank may not be challenged
for
Alpha
Heirs: [Unlimited - though to an extent]
Usually it is the oldest male
birth offspring to the Alpha Male that is chosen as the first heir. However sometimes
it's just down to the parents, the alphas, to choose. The Alpha Heirs job is about
scouting the land and keeping the pack in order like their parents but with less
authority. Most of the time they are just learning from the alphas and coping
what they do for when they have to take over.
This rank may not be challenged
for
Sub-Alphas:
[Unlimited - though to an extent]
When the alphas are not on the scene
these are the ones that take their place. They can organise pack hunts, judge
fights, in fact do anything except promote, demote and make pack relations. They
are usually the siblings of the current alphas or if not very close family. When
they're no heirs for the alphas it is the Sub-Alphas that take command.
This
rank may not be challenged for
Guardian:
[1 of either gender]
WThis is the elite pack protector rank. Their job
is to protect the Alpha family and although not related they are the closest thing
to being kin to the alphas themselves. Though they do not just protect the alphas
they wil also help any member. Guardians may not be challenged for and are friends
of the pack. If they do not do their job they can be demoted.
This rank
may not be challenged for
Betas:
[1 of each gender]
The trusted and respected friends of the Alphas. Usually
only those with approval from the Alphas may challenge the Betas for their rank.
Betas may also judge any type of fight, start up pack hunts as well as patrol.
Betas serve as the alphas advisors, like the legends they are well experienced
and strong. The Betas do not have to be a mated pair.
This rank can be
challenged for
Gammas:
[1 of each gender]
Sixth in command but first when non of the above are
present. They still play an important role within the cadre, greeting newcomers
and judging fights. Gammas are the ones that organise the pack and helps with
the training of warriors. During a raid these are the ones that lead the warriors.
This
rank can be challenged for
Deltas:
[1 of each gender]
The seventh level of command and able to judge any fights
still. Their words are still listened too by the Alphas and they can advise with
their thoughts like all the others. They are also trainers like the Gamma's but
more like trainers for the young. The look over the pups of the pack and make
sure they are properly protected.
This rank can be challenged for
Epsilons:
[1 of each gender]
This rank allows them to judge all fights of fights
except for ranks. They can still organise hunts and in fact are the ones usually
in charge for organising all the hunts. They oversee all the hunters in the pack
and will recommend Subordinates for promotion to the Alphas. They also help teach
how to hunt and make sure that food stores are always plentiful otherwise they
take responsibility.
This rank can be challenged for
Zetas:
[1 of each gender]
A wise pair must hold this title, as it is a very important
role. The skill that comes with it and job is to be gratefully respected. It is
the job of healing the sick using natural healing methods. They also assist the
Delta's with pup birth. The Zetas usually ask of errands for the Subordinates
to complete to help keep herb stocks high.
This rank can be challenged
for
Thetas:
[1 of each gender]
Thetas are usually a young pair, recently matured and
so the young will look up to them. They can organise games and activities for
all to do and join in with and keep moral high. Thetas are favoured greatly by
the pups and are usually generally popular within the pack, helping to raise moral
of the whole team. They can still organise hunts and judge spares for mates, food
and other small squabbles.
This rank can be challenged for
Kappas:
[1 of each gender]
Last of the rankings however they do not go without
regards. They are able to judge spars for food, mates, and joining if we have
to have them. Most of the time they spend scouting the land and relaying messaging,
checking up on allies and perhaps even spying on enemies. They need to know the
terrain on the back of their paws.
This rank can be challenged for
Warriors:
[3 of either gender]
The first into battle to protect their packs. Courageous
and strong they are chosen carefully usually recommended by the Gammas. They teach
the cadre how to fight and judge small types of spars. If they say two wolves
must fight for practice they should do so. They are also the pack protectors however.
They must defend any pack member that might be in trouble. Warriors are very very
very much respected for their job and bravery.
This rank can be challenged
for
Hunters:
[3 of either gender]
The most skilled hunters are preferred for this job
usually recommended by the Epsilon pair. The task is teaching the young how to
hunt and lead the adults. Alphas do not tend to join most pack hunts so therefore
they will put everyone in place, track the prey and organize the kill. They help
the Epsilon's make sure stocks are always high and the pack is always fed.
This
rank can be challenged for
Subordinates:
[Starting rank for adults]
This is the common rank of the pack that newcomers
fall into. Any Subordinates may challenge or request a rank. They have the right
to mate too, though perhaps asking for permission off the alphas or higher ranks
is respectful.
Whelps:
[Starting rank for pups]
These are either pups that belong to the ranks,
Subordinates or pups that have yet to be adopted. They have no rank and fall in
as Subordinates seeing as only the alpha heirs are pups with rank. Even Sub-Alpha
and Legend pups fall in here until older.
Omegas:
[Rank of shame]
The wolf of shame. They are taunted and bullied by all
the others until they have learned their lesson. Those that don't submit or do
not follow orders find themselves here.
