Mulder and Scully go back to the road where Mulder had painted the "X" seven years ago--they know they're in the right place. We see the Bounty Hunter is taking down people, one by one, as M&S stop in to question the deputy's wife who turns out to be the girl they met seven years ago. Scully holds the baby while the wife runs to get some files on her husband. We see Mulder looking at Scully with a tender expression on his face. Later that night, Scully comes by Mulder's room, just like she did 7 years ago, except this time she's not feeling well and is cold. She bundles up under Mulder's covers and he cuddles in next to her to warm her up.
