Mulder talks about how the FBI could be right for wanting their section closed, only for the wrong reasons. He believes Scully still has so much to do outside the FBI, that ending could be very much a personal gain. Meanwhile, CSM is now smoking through his throat, and telling Marita this is their one last chance to save the project by obtaining this crashed UFO. He explains how all of the questions in the world can be answered if they possessed this craft, that there is no god because the alien race is far intelligent to humans and they control the universe. With that, M&S are in the woods with a witness. Scully wanders off and gets stuck in the UFO's shield. It spits her back out and Mulder finds her on the ground--she's okay.
