Visit Bear Mountain, the home of the Alumni race lo these many years.
The Rockland Road Runners are an active Rockland-area running club who help with support and publicity for the race, and they have several members who participate every year.

Guilderland HS has established a similar race for Section II alumni.  The race has a website here, which no longer really gets updated.  The 2005 race was their third edition; results are available.

School links:

The North Rockland Cross-Country team has their own web site; check it out!

There is also a Clarkstown South XC site (infrequently updated).  Why doesn't North have one?  Because I can only do one site at a time.

The Nanuet XC site appears to have vanished; their school site is here.

Steve Sutton (TZ '90), now coaching his alma mater, sent me the new link to the excellent TZ XC and track page.

Here are the official school sites for Clarkstown North and Clarkstown South

Albertus Magnus has a high school site here, but no running stuff I can find.

There is a fairly basic Suffern XC team page; here is a school site.

Some non-running-related sites for Ramapo High School and Spring Valley High School.  Spring Valley also has a very weak link for its cross team.

The school page for Nyack High School actually shows some potential.

I found the site for Monroe Woodbury High School; but there is a better site with cross-country news for alumni.

Our newest entrants in the Alumni Run field, Guilderland HS, has a nice team site.

For almost all the schools listed here, you can find basic sports information on the Section 1 website.

Running-related links:

Rojo may be a Princeton grad (and Wejo went to Yale! even worse!), and the message boards can be nauseating, but Let's Run has become, hands down, the best running-related site on the web.

Another excellent site for general running info I like is Cool Running; they have alot of race results and schedules there.

Trackwire.com used to be a great site for NCAA and national championship stuff, but I think they have switched to e-mail only; probably still worth it to get their updates.

If you want a general repository for information and propaganda, look no further than the official site of the USATF.

For high school XC-related links, check out this site, but for info on high school running, you can't beat DyeStat.

Personal links:

My local club here in New Paltz is the Shawangunk Runners; they are basically a group of freaks but they are alot of fun, and always turn in solid age-group performances.  But my competitive team is still based at the Haddonfield Running Company; a good group and a great store.

I also have run with the Philadelphia Hash House Harriers, but I don't pity myself.

Much thanks to eleven-time Alumni finisher Al Brandstaedter (CN '92) for technical expertise and hosting the website through his own personal site (I have no idea how any of this stuff works).  Check out his personal site if you need a recipe or want to hear our opinions about beer.
