cesspool

on retirement from govt service under normal circumstances i am supposed
to get certain benefits like pension, gratuity and some more cash by way
of commuting part of the pension.
initially things went rather smoothly and i am getting my normal pension
(which is just enough to pay my monthly house rent alone); but now a days
all sorts of stumbling blocks are being put in.
i am supposed to get a gratuity on retirement and infact the amount has
already been sanctioned and has reached the treasury more than two
months back. but a no liability
certificate has to be issued by the medical education directorate before
i can draw the amount. i have been making repeated representations to the
authorities concerned but there has been no response of any sort one way or
the other.
my military service has to be counted for pension as per rules. the
army head quarters issued the required certificate in november 05 after
getting the necessary endorsement from cda poone. but the directorate of
medical education for reasons best known to them has decided to squat
on it. and again there is no action or any response of any sort.
if there is any snag, like, say, i have some liability (which i am sure is not there)
in the case of the nlc for example, under normal
circumstances i have to be informed so that i can do
the needful. but the motive here is ulterior and people are
just whiling away time playing pool, i mean cesspool!
