OK Thats it! After debating relentlessly with work mates and friends, I've finally decide to take this to the net.... The question to which there is only one answer: If there was a fight between Xena and Buffy, who would win? Of course, we all know (as us enlightened Xena fans do) that Xena would win, no questions asked. But why is it then, that there are still people who say otherwise? Hmmmmmmm.... The only explanation for this, is that they haven't been educated enough in all the ways of Xena. So here are a few things I'd like to point out to all those doubting people.  VS Buffy: the ultimate rip-off In the beginning there was Xena... then came all those other show with female leads; Alias, Dark Angel, Buffy, etc.. Although most came up with original story lines, characters and concepts, Buffy stole most of hers from Xena. For example: Similar Characters Willow to Gabrielle: both considered side-kicks, who although not (originally) very physically strong, provide moral support and encouragement. They both share similar physical characteristics (red-hair) and both share similar personalities... thats is - sweet demeaners, talkative, kind, intelligent and ummm well... a little... you know. Xander to Joxer: both blubbering idiots who usually do more harm than good. But in the end, their kind hearts overcome their flaws and sometimes they even end up saveing the day. Cordila to Aphrodite: both shallow and vain. Yet in the end, we can see through their shallow exterior to the goodness they try so readily to hide. Story Line Stealers Xenas: Intimate Stranger - Callisto swaps bodies with Xena and causes trouble. Buffys: This years Girl - Faith swaps bodies with Buffy and causes trouble. Xenas Musical: Bitter Suite and Lyre, Lyre. Buffys Musical: Once more, with feeling (a big flop might I add) Concepts Xena comes back to life (numerous times). This was something that I felt was uniquely Xena... but Nooooo... Buffy comes back to life too now doesn't she. Subtext. Well it was there with Xena all along, but the minute Buffy drops in ratings a bit and they steal that bit to. It was soooo cheap and not at all cleaver (as it was with xena). Why Xena would kick her scrawny ass First of all, Xena doesn't mess around. She would chop of Buffys head before she even had the chance to go scurrying back to her "Scooby Gang" for advice. Oh and weapons you say? Think Buffy would used a missile launcher on Xena? Yeah right! Even see Xena defeated a whole (missile launching) army in Chin?.. Buffy doesn't stand a chance. OK. So how about hand-to-hand combat. LMAO! Have you ever seen Buffy do gravity-defying leaps? AH...... NO. Buffys a good fighter, but she can bearly beat off one single vamp at a time. Shes no good in group fights or unexpected situations.... and Xena is ALWAYS unexpected. Want to have your say on Buffy or Xena? Write me! Your say Theres not just similarities on Buffy, but Angel as well! Both Xena and Angel have a dark history and hence, are on a quest to make up for their shady past. The birth of their children Eve/Connor both promise a new begining for our heros... to teach their children a different way of life, a good life (unlike their own). But a turn of fate lead the children to grown up without their parents, taking different names (Eve/Livia, Connor/Stephen) and showing thier parents all the mistakes they tired to leave behind. Too much of Angel reflects on Xena (poorly at that), for it to be just a coincidence.
