Want to know some stuff about me? If not, then turn back. This actually turned out longer than I had anticipated, so if you want, then continue to read. The pictures are at the bottom.
Hello and thanks for your interest in wanting to know some more about me. Well, to start things off, my name is Jonathan. I'm currently 22 and in the military (to read more about my experience in the military then go to the philosophy section). I was born in Peru, which is in South America. I've lived in or have visited the following states: Florida (visited), New Jersey, New York (visited), Pennsylvania (visited), Massachusetts (visited), South Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee. I also lived in Iraq for a year, thanks to the president and his wrong decision to go to that damn country (more about that in the articles' section).

Anyways, like the introduction says, this site was born out of boredom. I like to do many things but I just can't seem to find the people to do these things with or the resources. I consider myself to be athletic for the most part. I can play most sports without much problem. Basketball, football and soccer were my thing growing up. Nowadays, they are not. I don't attempt to watch or play football or soccer. With basketball, I will only watch it during the playoffs and play it once in a blue moon. I lost the passion for the game. The fact that people are getting better at it everyday and having to keep up with new moves sealed that deal. Also, I've developed a knee injury, which isn't any fun to deal with after a game.

A game I discovered in my late teens was that of badminton. It is such a great game, however, most people have never heard of it or don't think it's a sport. That's a real big shame. When I first saw it and played it, I myself didn't think of it as a sport or manly to play it. However, I am glad I did give that game a chance and got to experience it. I wished I could play it nowadays but I can't. There are three reasons for this. Since it's not a popular sport, it's hard to find anyone who can play it or take it seriously. Two, there is no place within reasonable distance of me to play the sport at. Lastly, you can't forget about my bad knee.

Seeing how my knee has limited my hobbies to non sports, I have found some other interesting stuff to try to occupy my time with. I discovered foosball when I first joined the army. In our recreation center there was a foosball table. I soon found myself entertained in this game and became an intermediate player. However, once again this game was just like badminton. Not enough enthused people or equipment. I can also play chess but it's not that exciting. I need constant motion or creativity to keep me interested in something. Two recent activities that I have found to be fun are card "dueling" and pool. Since the latter is a bit longer, I will talk about pool first. At first, I hated this game. I only used to play it when I was really bored and my friends wanted to play it. Like I said before, I need constant motion or creativity to keep me interested. The fact that I sucked at the game and had to wait around for the other player to miss, made this game boring. However, since the other games I'm interested in have few people and barely any resources to be played, I have invested some time in this game. Though I'm not an intermediate yet, I'm getting there. There are so many angles to take in this game, the creativity part keeps me interested in it.

Now, in not wanting to make a long paragraph, I will talk about card dueling in a new one. What on Earth got me started on this? Thank the cartoon "anime" Yugioh. Yes, I do watch cartoons and I will talk about that a bit later. Well, if you have never seen this cartoon then let me tell you about it. It's about living in a world where card dueling is a sport and everyone wants to be part of it and become the master of the game. Ever heard of Magic The Gathering? Think of a regular deck of playing cards. Now give each card in the deck a special ability to "attack". With your deck, you try to defeat an opponent and his deck. It's real interesting because you get to select which cards to be in your deck and hope that your deck and your strategy is better than your opponents. Still having a hard time understanding what card dueling is all about? Best thing to do is do a search on the internet. Also, think of playing cards again. Ever split the deck in half and then you and your friend picked the top card? Whoever had a higher card won the match. That's card dueling in its simplest form. I am by no means an expert in the subject. Anyways, after getting introduced to this game, I was shipped off to Iraq for a year. Well, being in a hell whole will bore you to death. So in my spare time there I began to create my own card dueling game. It's still a work in progress but when I finish it I will post it in the miscellaneous section.

Have I bored you yet? If not keep reading! Another thing I like to do is watch movies and television. Movies are great because they either tell a great story or make a great addition to a television series. I try to watch at least one every month. Television, what can't I say about it? It is probably the one thing people turn to for entertainment. How good it has been to me. One of my favorite things to watch on television is cartoons. I don't mean baby cartoons like Looney Toons. I like the action and comedy ones. "The Simpsons", "Futurama" and "The Family Guy" are hilarious to watch. One that has recently caught my attention is "South Park". They are funny fourth graders.

What else can I talk about? How about dancing and music? I tend to listen to a variety of music. From hip hop to alternative. From Eminem to Linkin Park to Avril Lavigne. In regards to dancing, I can't say I'm a master of any dance. However, I do attempt to get it on on the dance floor with some girl. I'm not a "clubber" but I do go to the club once a week. If you haven't been to a club, I suggest you try it. If you're lucky, you can pick up a girl for the night at one of them. If you're somewhat lucky, you get to dance with a girl that will give your a nice rub with her ass. If you're not lucky at all, well you can at least see action among other people.

Below I will post pictures of myself and my life. What a difference six years make! I will definitely grow my hair back when I get out of the military. Click on the picture to enlarge.
