Episode Summaries:
(FUNi Dub) Dragonball Z:
The most detested form of Dragonball Z, the dub. Season one and two had good voices and okay music and bgs, but
the editing was found to be ridiculous most of the time, by long time fans. Season three although had less editing, featured
weird voices, and rock-style bgs. The corny dialogue, was present in the past, the dialogue... became worse.
Saga Summaries:
Dragonball:
The first of the three series. Dragonball was based on the first half of a manga, written by Akira
Toriyama. The manga was also based on the legend of the "Monkey King."
Dragonball had some action scenes in them, but the theme was more on the comical side, rather than actual
action and fighting. Still the series is a classic, nonetheless.
Dragonball Z:
Dragonball Z was a change in focus, and featured more fighting and action. Dragonball Z, focus on Gokou's life as an adult. Still has a little comedy, but the fighting
theme was always what it was all about. Many new attacks, villians, and themes were introduced. Dragonball Z was believed
to be the best of all three series, because it had unforgetable fight scenes, and just a bunch of scenes that will just touch you. Truly,
a very entertaining animι all around.
Dragonball GT:
Believed to be the worse Dragonball series by some, the series was a sucess, somewhat. Some predicted doom from the start, as the "Great"
Akira Toriyama had no direct input in the storyline. Dragonball GT was the shortest of the three series, and featured only sixty-four episodes.
GT, which stands for "Grand Tour," had a theme of outer space travel, and newfound aliens beings. The series did feature great music, openings and
backgrounds, believed to be one of the best of the three. Although some characters had more exposure in this animι more than others, certain emotions and
feelings were expressed. Ultimately, the purpose of this animι was to pump out more money out of the Dragonball frachise. Still, Dragonball GT is a "good" animι, and is on par with some of the classics.
