Situated 1300-1425 m high on the slopes of Mount Gede-Pangrango, Cibodas Botanic Garden contains beautiful mountain scenery with impressive views across the Cipanas valley of West Java. The Garden covers about 125 ha of undulating topography, with large grassy expanses, rocky coniferous areas, and valleys filled with tree ferns and waterfalls. Cibodas Botanic Garden is a popular recreational center for the Greater Jakarta area as well as a research station for students and scientists studying tropical montane flora The Cibodas Botanic Garden was founded in 1862 by the botanist and curator "Johannes Elias Teysjmann" as an extension of the Bogor Botanic Garden. Now one of four Indonesian Botanic Gardens (Kebun Raya Indonesia), the Cibodas Botanic Garden is a part of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). The average rainfall is 2380 mm, and the weather is cool (18?C) and moist. The Garden is located ? 45 km southeast of Bogor, or ? 100 km southeast of Jakarta.

Location at Mangun kerta village, Cugeunang subdistrict is about 15 km from Cianjur City. Souronding by spread of green tea plantations which can give us a coll and clean air. you can see the tea pickers and process it and you can try for dringking tea whichhad a good quality. The facilities are : children play ground, cottage and one of the nature tourist object is called Batu Lempar.

Location at Bobojong Village, Mande subdistrict is 17 km from Cianjur City. Jangari lake was made of keeping back tha water from Cirata Dam and it was build in 1987, as one of the tourist attraction there are - You can make sight seeing the lake wiith traditional boat.

Location at Kawungluwuk village, Sukaresmi subdistrict is about 28km from Cianjur City. You can feel one of the tourist climate with has comport and gratify, there are many kind of flowers coming from Asia, America, Africa, Australia, and Europe with another versions for each countries. So there are ten kind of plant namely : Rose Park, Water Park, French Version, Palm Park, japaneseVersion and the Netherlands. The facilities are : green house, observation / tower, restaurant, room prayer, car facilities and local guide.

Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park is a combination of several former protected areas: Cibodas Nature Reserve; Cimungkat Nature Reserve; Situgunung Recreational Park and Gunung Gede Pangrango Nature Reserve. The park comprises an area of only 15,000 ha which makes it one of the smallest national parks in Indonesia. It is named after the two volcanoes in the park: Gunung Gede (2,958 m) and Gunung Pangrango (3,019 m). The Gunung Gede is still active. Its last eruption took place in 1957. Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park comprises a variety of landscapes. Although small the site has beautiful waterfalls, lakes and rivers, rugged volcanic landscapes, quiet alms, montane swamp and tropical mountain forest. On the heigher grounds there are vast alpine grassy areas. Adjacent to the park lies Kebun Raya Cibodas, an annex of Indonesia's famous Kebun Raya Bogor. Permits and guids are available from the PHPA office at the main entrance. For the permit you need a copy of your passport. Guides are not really neccesary because Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park has an extensive web of foot-paths. If you want to trek through the area or climb one of the mountains you need a special permit, available at the PHPA offices in Cibodas, Selabintana or Gunung Putri. The park is best visited during the dry season: May-October. From Januari till March the park is closed.

If you have a hobby of teaching. Why do not try to be a teacher volunteer in Cianjur formal or informal schools. You can teach in my ex high school or you can also teach in english course. I have an access to do it all, because i still have a good relationship with all the teachers, especially with English, German, French Teachers. You can share your english or others languages, your culture, or your travel experience with the students.
You can teach them with your own programs and methods. The students will be proud and happy on improving their own english. You do not need an Education Certificate, as long as you are able to speak and write english well, you can teach in Cianjur. You will have a nice travel with them, because they always ask guest overseas to go somewhere.

If you're looking for adventure, a white water rafting trip on the Citarik river will be an unforgettable experience. There are three locations here to choose; starting from the village of Cihideung, 45 km from Sukabumi City, rafting along a 15 km stretch of the river and finishing at the village of Cikadu; starting from the village of Ubrug, 27 km from Sukabumi City, rafting along a 12 km stretch of the river and finishing at the village of leuwiliang; or starting from the village of Padabeunghar, 30 km from Sukabumi City, and rafting along a 12 km stretch of the river. The Citarik white water rafting center is located 120 km from Jakarta and 90 km from Bandung. It is about 50 km from Cianjur.
