I was influenced for Rob Devine by a number of former and current professional athletes.  At first, I had always admired and enjoyed the attitude of Rob Van Dam, as well as the gimmicks of Steve Corino and Kurt Angle.  Rob Van Dam is the source of my arrogance, Corino and Angle fuel the technical elements, along with Lance Storm and the Hitman Bret Hart.

The objection to extreme wrestling was required to make his attitude towards technical wrestling more realistic.  This came from Steve Corino primarily and also the Right To Censor.

Rob Devine's attitude's change during matches.  He will cheat to win, use weapons to gain an advantage, no matter how much he says he objects to their use.  This came from Kurt Angle mainly.
