Tissue Terror!
by cik_nah

One time, I went to attend an end-of-school pool party at a recreational club. Everybody was going to be there. I wanted to look, um, more visually appealing, so I wore my mum's old maternity bra and stuffed tissue in between the gaps. I wore a spaghetti-strap top and tight pants. I went to the party, and everybody was gaping at me, especially the guys! Many of my girlfriends asked what bra I was wearing - I said it was a very expensive push-up! I laughed when one girl even asked me if I had some surgery done right after exams!

I was feeling great! All the girls were envying my new 'look', and all the guys couldn't stop talking to me!

At one point, I saw one of my classmates whispering to his friends in a corner, but I shrugged it off as nothing sinister. I will always regret that I did that.
So somebody just had to ruin my 'queen of the night' status. What is a pool party without a dunk in the pool? While I was alone picking food off the buffet table when a bunch of girls and guys cornered me and started carrying me straight to the pool!! I kicked and screamed, but that only fueled their desire to drench me.

They threw me into the pool. They all started laughing their @$$es off, until one of the girls pointed at my chest. "What's THAT?" she cried. To my horror (and everyone's astonishment), the tissues I had stuffed in my bra had come out and were floating around in the water! I went redder than my dress!! People started laughing even harder than before! I thought some of the attention was diverted to one guy who laughed so hard that he bent over, and had been pushed into the pool with me. But then he waded over to me and started throwing the wet pieces of tissue at everybody! Everybody ran away screaming!

I didn't know what to think of myself after that. I climbed out of the pool with a very droopy bra, and it looked disgusting! I ran to the changing rooms and started sobbing in one of the toilets. My girlfriends came over and comforted me. The party was almost over, so I didn't need to stay too long in the changing rooms. My girlfriends took me home after the party to change, and they brought me out again for some coffee. They made me feel so much better after that, and I thanked them for being there for me when I needed them.

I came back to school the next term feeling very paranoid, but thank goodness my classmates only brought the incident up once. Since then, I've learnt to be proud of what God has given me, and now I always walk with my head up high.
