| A
Deck consists of 40 cards and you will start with 40 cards RANDOMLY. As
you go along with the game, you will eventually win better or more
useful cards so you would then need to rebuild your Deck.
You can build/revise your Deck before each Duel, at Card Shop, at Title screen and at the Free Duel screen. |

| 1. | When you select Build Deck, you will be shown you Chest where you store all cards that are not included into your Deck. |
| - Use the Select and the Start button to choose the view/sort sequence you preferred. | |
| - Use the direction pad Left and Right to toggle between Chest and Deck. | |
| - Use the direction pad Up and Down to navigate among the cards in your Chest and Deck. | |
| - Use L1 and R1 to scroll up or down for one page. | |
| - Use L2 and R2 to scroll up or down by 50 cards, I think. | |
| 2. | To include a card to you Deck, one card must first be removed from the Deck. |
| - Go to your Deck. | |
| - Use X button to remove the unwanted card. | |
| - Go to your Chest. | |
| - Use X button to include the wanted card to your Deck. | |
| 3. | Press O button when your Deck building is done. |
| * You can also press the triangle button to view the card status during Deck Building. | |
| ** You should save your game every time you revise your Deck. | |
| 2. Dueling | |
| The main part of this game is DUEL! You will get a random card every time you win a Duel. Losing a Duel in Campaign means GAME OVER but losing a Duel in Free Duel does not matter. | |
| 1. | Both you and your opponent will start with 8000 Life Point (LP). |
| 2. | You will be starting the Duel by playing one of your card on the field. |
| - You select the card with your direction pad and confirm with X button. | |
| - You can to play the card Face Up or Face Down by using the Left/Right direction button. | |
| - You then place the card on the field and confirm with X button again. | |
| - In the case of a Monster Card, you can specify Attack stat or Defend stat with L1 and R1. | |
| - Press the Start button to end your turn. (You cannot attack in this turn.) | |
| 3. | Your opponent will play a card and start the attacking round. |
| 4. | You win the game by depleting your opponent's LP to zero (0). |
| 3. Trading | |
| This game allows to to trade cards between duelist. You CANNOT trade from a duplicate copy of your game save though. You need to have 2 controllers plugged in in order to trade. | |
| 1. | Make sure you've saved your game and switch off your PS. |
| 2. | Insert memories cards with Yu-Gi-Oh! game save on memory card slot 1 and slot 2. |
| 3. | Switch on you PS with Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories. |
| 4. | At the Title Screen, select TRADE option. |
| 5. | Contents of both memory cards would be loaded. |
| 6. | You can select cards for trade with the X button. |
| 7. | You can only select up to 10 cards per trade. |
| 8. | Confirm the trade with the square button. |
| 9. | You can press the circle button to exit trade. |
