What is Classical Yoga?

 

Classical Yoga follows one of the most ancient texts of yoga, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. It incorporates Hatha Yoga (physical postures) but goes far beyond to include myriad aspects of one’s life such as thought patterns, emotions, daily habits, work, relationships with others, and spirituality. Through a process of observing and thus learning who we are, Classical Yoga permits us to honor our individual personality tendencies and advance toward our life’s purpose, while at the same time contributing to world peace.
