Trips - Mt. Pulog Photos
Climbing Mt. Pulog
Photos by Robert Gardner
The giant of the Cordillera Central mountain range, Mt.
Pulog, is the highest peak on the island of Luzon rising 2,934 meters.
It is the second highest mountain in the Philippines and is just 20-m lower
than Mt. Apo on Mindanao. (View Mt. Pulog Location
Map)
Less than 50-km from Baguio City, as the crow flies, it
is a torturous 4-hour bus ride to the jump-off point. From there, steep
roads and trails climb through mountain villages, forests, and grassland
habitats.
