Rondeau Bay Waterfowl Management Unit
General Information
All Hunters using the Rondeau Bay Waterfowl Management Unit should be aware of the following regulations and procedures governing the daily operation of the unit.

The Rondeau Waterfowl Management Unit is in operation during the regularly scheduled waterfowl hunting season. The Season runs from Sept. 25 to Dec. 20 on Monday, Wednesday, Fridays and Saturdays only. Hours of operation are from one-half hour before sun-rise to one-half hour after sunset. 2 p.m. closure Mondays and Wednesday September 28 through October 28 inclusive.
NOTE: Hunters must be at the Waterfowl Unit by 2 pm.

- Except for opening day, blind allocation will be administered through a combination of reservation, lottery and "as available" system.

- Camping facilities are available within Rondeau through the end of October at the posted rate(s) - Anyone entering the park for day use will be required to purchase the appropriate daily vehicle permit

- The Rondeau Waterfowl Unit office will open at 4:00 a.m. on each hunting day except as may be otherwise posted please check Waterfowl Unit Office

- Any equipment, etc. remaining in the park after the hunting day will be considered abandoned and treated accordingly.

- Dogs must be under control and leashed in the park except when at the blind location

- Firearms must be encased or dismantled at all times except when at the designed blind. Shotguns ONLY may be used, and these must hold no more than three shells at one time in the chamber and magazine combined, permanently plugged or altered. - Any hunter(s) found to be intoxicated will not be issued a blind permit and will be subject to charges under the appropriate legislation

- The only game allowed to be shot are ducks, geese, and coots, and only in the numbers permitted by the current Migratory Bird Regulations

- Ontario Sports Card with appropriate validations and federal hunting licenses for each hunter will be deposited with the issuer on duty when signing for a blind. These licenses will be returned when checking out at the conclusion of the hunt

- Hunting of waterfowl is one of many activities occurring at Rondeau Provincial Park. Hunters are requested to conduct their activities in a manner that does not conflict with the Provincial Parks Act, and the enjoyment of others.
