I've been a Girl Scout for more than 20 years. 11 years as a girl in Milwaukee and over 11 years now as an adult. I was the leader for my daughter's Daisy troop and when she changed schools in first grade I volunteered as an assistant leader. Within a couple of months the leader quit and I was forced to take over. I've been her leader ever since. I've enjoyed watching her and the others grow strong. What is the thing I like best about Girl Scouts? It's got to be camping! That's what I remember most from when I was a girl, my favorite memories are of camping at Northern Hills. The campfires, s'mores, Tajar and sleeping under the stars. I've tried to pass these and other great activities along to the girls in my troop. My second choice would be learning new things. Like learning HTML, I originally learned so I could help the girls earn their Exploring the Net interest project patch. I've put together a small list of a couple of the troop activities we have done through the years (crafts). If there are any you think sound interesting try them and let me know how they worked for your troop.

We are currently no longer registered as a troop. As is common, our membership dwindled and it was no longer feasible. We (my daughter and I) really don't want to give up this web site so we are discussing how we will revamp it. Watch for a new site soon!
