At Home Prep: | Pierce each potato with a fork. Wrap in foil. Roast in coals until done, about 45 minutes. | ||

Camp Potato Puffs | |||
Preparation Method: | fire (charcoal or wood coals) | ||

Non-Food Items Needed: | foil | ||
Food Items Needed: | 16 servings instant mashed potatoes ingredients needed to mix potatoes 3 cups grated cheese 1 jar bacon bits (real or artificial) 1 cup milk (can be prepared powdered milk) salt/pepper garlic (optional, but my favorite!!) green chili (optional) |

At Home Prep: | None | ||
In Camp Prep / Cooking Instructions: | Mix potatoes according to directions. Alternate layers of potatoes and cheese in individual foil packets. Sprinkle bacon on top. Add garlic, green pepper, salt/pepper to taste. Fold 3 sides of foil closed. Pour small amount of milk into packet and close. Bake in coals for 15 to 30 minutes. |

Food Items Needed: | 4 medium potatoes 2Tbsp margarine or butter 2Tbsp water 1 small onion salt and pepper |

In Camp Prep / Cooking Instructions: | Put sliced potatoes and onions on a large piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil. Add margarine and salt and pepper. We like to add a little Lawry's seasoning salt to taste also. Seal and bake over coals for 45 min or so turning occasionally |

Corn on the Cob | |||
Preparation Method: | Wood fire | ||
Food Items Needed: | Ears of Corn in husks | ||
At Home Prep: | Pull down husks and remove corn silk. Replace husks and soak in a bucket of water. Wrap each ear in foil, cook in coals five minutes; turn and cook five minutes more. Unwrap, husk, and butter. | ||
