Black Forest (Germany)


Photo M OUNTAIN REGION with dense conifer forests, located in the southwestern Germany , whose name alludes to the big forested areas that cover this zone. Some rivers, including the Danube and Neckar, rise in the Black Forest. In the eastern slope there are numerous lakes and there are plenty of fountains with medicinal water, being very popular the bathing resorts in Baden Baden and Wildbad. It has 22.950 Km. of forestal tracks and it is a ideal place for nordic ski. It is the first forested area in extension of Europe.
