Sierra Cebollera

Photo I N MARCH of 1995 the government of La Rioja declares 23.000 hectares if these mountains as Natural Park, justified by its ecological importance because of some glaciar pits, supporting a big variety of ecosystems. It is located between the limit of the passes of Sta. Inés and Piqueras and it is included in the Cameros region. More than a half of the area is populated by forests in a very good state of conservation, dominating the forests of oaks, wild pines and beech trees. There are also small communities of the scarce black pine.
