  The Philippines is readily accessible from the travel capitals of the world. Manila, its capital city, is directly connected to 34 cities around the world by 34 major carriers, Philippine Airlines (PAL), the country's flag carrier, flies to 26 points in 20 countries.

  Traveling time to Manila from Hong Kong is an hour and 50 minutes; Singapore, 3 hrs, and 10 mins.; Bangkok, 3 hrs. and 50 mins.; Tokyo, 4 hrs. and 15 mins.; Sydney, 10 hrs. and 20 mins.; London, 20 hrs. and 45 mins.; Paris, 21 hrs, and 15 mins.; Frankfurt, 19 hrs. and 40 mins; San Francisco, 16 hrs. and 15 mins.; Los Angeles, 15 hrs. and 20 mins.; and New York, 25 hrs, and 20 mins.

  Manila is served by the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), 7 kms. from the city center. The Clark International Airport, situated inside the Clark special Economic Zone is now operational and may be used as entry point by Jamboree participants, arrangements should be made by those who wish to enter the country using this facility.

  Except for stateless persons and those from countries with which the Philippines has no diplomatic relations, all visitors with valid passports may enter the country without visas and may stay for 21 days provided they have tickets for onward journey. Holders of Hong kong and Taiwan passports must have special permits which may be obtained from Philippine embassies and consulates.
