Excellency Fidel V. Ramos, Philippine President, who other than being the
Chief Scout of the Boys Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) is also known to
be a strong advocate of Scouting has urged BSP to do its share and get
involved in the Philippine Centennial celebration and subsequently endorsed
the holding of the Philippine Centennial Scout Jamboree.
