Rifle Kills
The deer pictured here were all taken during the gun-deer seasons in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Although a few of the guys we hunt with only bowhunt, we usually take a few nice bucks each year while rifle hunting.
Bryan Keown(L) and Jordan Dahl (R) with a pair of nice bucks from the 1998 deer-gun season. The 4 1/2 year old 10 pointer at left has a net score of 136" and had a field dressed weight of 164 pounds. The buck at right is a very impressive 2 1/2 year old 9 point buck with a 13.5" inside spread. Despite the age and spread, this buck still has a net score of 117" and a dressed weight of 173 pounds.
Here is Jordan with another nice one taken during the 1994 deer-gun season. This 5 1/2 year old nine point buck has a 17.5" inside spread and tall tines. He has a gross score of 138" and a net of 127". He had a dressed weight of 179 pounds.
This is one of the most unique bucks featured on our website, The buck has a 7x5 non-typical rack with 3 split tines and a 7" sticker point off the front of the left main beam just above the brow tine. The rack has a 21" inside spread and very good mass. The buck was taken by Jim Larsen.
This buck was also taken by Jim, one year to the day after he took the previous buck. This heavy palmated 12 pointer has a 17" inside spread, decent tine length, and great mass. Although I am not sure about the exact score, I estimate it would score around 145" typical. The buck was taken opening day of the 1998 deer-gun season.
Here is a huge Wisconsin whitetail! This massive racked buck has a net typical score of over 148" and a dressed weight of 197 pounds. This incredible 3 1/2 year old buck was taken on public land in Northern WI. He was taken by Bryan Keown during the 1995 deer-gun season.
This wide racked buck was taken by Morton Dahl as he crossed a small cut corn field on the opening day of the 1998 season. The buck has a 21.5 inch inside spread and long G-2 tines. The 9 pointer has a net typical score of 127" and had a dressed weight of 168 pounds. The buck was aged at 3 1/2 years old.
