The men with heavy machines and chain saws moved in and the trees fell. The inhabitants of the land had to move, with the exception of the mosquitoes and black flies. A project to convert a marsh into a small lake to be surrounded by expensive houses is in its initial phase Sadly every day forests some where in the world are destroyed and I am showing you photos of one of them. |

Environmental issues such as deforestation, global warming, water quality, loss of habitat and air pollution are a few of many that are universal in scope. The effects of human activity on the earth have both local and worldwide consequences. It is up to as individuals to influence corporations, and governments we must act to develop policies, products, industrial processes, and lifestyles that are more earth friendly. We should be making an effort to coexist with nature lest nature changes so as not to coexist with us. |

I went for a walk in the woods not far from the place where I have taken some of my best pictures. On that day the photos I took were not pretty. It is not the kind of photography I enjoy and not the images I enjoy viewing but somehow I find them compelling. |

At this the present time I am not sure about what I am going to do with this presentation or if I will keep it. As you may have noticed there are some random elements on this page. I am thinking about giving visitors the opportunity to write captions for the photos that they choose. This would allow many different opinions to be expressed. I still have to workout the details on how I want to do this. I would also like to place links to other sites that deal with environmental issues. My objective being that I would like to provide access to a wide variety of issues and opinions. I am doing research into what sites would be relevant and suitable. I would welcome any suggestions. |
