Okay for some reason or another you have found yourself wandering around the net. Then suddenly you come across my little world, and you think hey why not read up a bit on this guy. But how could you know the evil that awaits you in the lines to follow. You find yourself trapped with no where to go, you scream out in terror as you read on about my life, the ups the downs... and all the other junk. Then suddenly you remember that you can escape, your hand motions toward the computer at your side and you jam the power button into the computer, you pause a moment afraid to look back at the monitor, not knowing what you will find, but the courage comes suddenly and with a purposeful gaze you peer back at the monitor...NOTHING!! It is gone, the horror has ended, but you will never be the same again after reading my Homepage.

History
For those of you out there that already know me, you know that I am a photographer at heart despite other jobs I've had. Though I’m not a great photographer (or I’m modest) YET! I am working on it. The main purpose for ME to make this website, oh so many years ago, was so that I could show some of my favorite photo's to my friends online with-out having to send them hideously large e-mails. So here was my thought, ill put up a PHOTO OF THE WEEK for everyone to see or at least that was the original plan... after making a simple website I found I could put ALL of my favorite pic’s up at once. Since then my website has evolved into what you see now. I’ve also decided to put up some of my writings that I have done over the years, and most recently I’ve added an online journal that I will update from time to time when significant events happen in my life, which isn’t too often so don’t expect much ;-). I hope that you enjoy looking at my homepage. If you have any comments, feel free to e-mail me or leave a MESSAGE in the GUESTBOOK. I'd love to hear from people who visit my page.
Personal Details
My name is Neil; I am proudly of Scottish/Irish decent and hail from the McFayden Clan, a higher sect of the Clan MacLaine of Lochbuie. I’ve been around for barely 30 years now and in that time I’ve become a lover of nature and everything in it. This love became more prevalent when my interest in photography started to grow and I taught myself how to capture that one perfect moment on film to cherish in the future. I’ve been photographing professionally off and on since I was 18.
Photography though my passion in life is not my chosen career. I’ve taken two courses in computer programming over the years and I’m making the attempt to use this knowledge for a career that can support my photography as well as my extensive other hobbies. A taste of those hobbies would be hiking, mountain biking (I also do the MS 150km Bike Tour each year), camping, fishing, mountain climbing (yea kind of hard to do where I live in Regina, Saskatchewan), scuba diving, volleyball, and baseball... and that’s only the outdoorsy hobbies!
My dreams for the future used to have been to be an Oceanographer or a professional photographer (as a career) and though I never stopped working on being a photographer cause I love taking pictures, I have more and more lately come to the conclusion that I made the right choice in taking training as a computer programmer. It offers me a challenge that I enjoy that I don’t get in other jobs I have worked at, like manual labor, blue-collar type jobs.
Definition: Gypsy Trip or Nomadic Gypsy Trip – These are terms you will see thrown around my web page and if you are new to seeing my artwork it deserves explaining. The term is one I made up to describe my preferred method of travel. This form of traveling is a spontaneous, aimless journey of self-discovery with little more then an initial direction chosen. No destination, no planning, no time limit, only the open road and a sense of adventure. The no time limit rule has limited how many official Gypsy Trips I’ve taken to only two. But they were amazing trips and I look forward to my next trip :)
