Doug, Stan and myself in front of our camp after a heavy
snowfall broke the ridgepole.
Doug and Stan with a couple Moose River Bucks.
Stan tracked this beauty for several miles before catching
up to him and a hot doe. One shot at 100 yds. put down the 200 pound nine pointer for good. After
boiling his jawbone,we were able to determine that this buck was at least 8 1/2 years old ! He was
definately going downhill when Stan shot him.
This is a bear I shot just a short distance from the tent.
I set up this spike camp approximately 4 miles beyond our
main camp, in the West Canada Lakes area.
I took this 200 lb. 8 point just a couple hundred yards
from my spike camp!
Our best hunting always came after a fresh tracking snow.
Here we got two bucks on the same morning. (note the third buck hanging in the background!)
