DEER TALES...page 1

Rays Deer Raymond Wisman (RAYMOND) of Elwood, Indiana, took his very first deer this year with his bow. A well placed shot at only 5 yds. made for a very short tracking job!

Hip's BuckCarol Eberhard (HIP-POCKET) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, was hunting near some perssimon trees on the second day of rifle season(Nov.8), when this eight point, 155 pound trophy walked in at 5:00 p.m. One shot from her Ruger Model 77bolt action .243, put the buck down for good. The buck will now reside on the walls of the Eberhard home !

Tracker's Buck Ron Randle (TRACKER) of Hudson, Michigan, shot this 160 pound nine pointer on Oct. 24 with his Clearwater Power Mag bow, and Rocky Mountain Ultra broadheads. The buck came in to feed on apples an hour before sunset when Ron double lunged him at 22 yards.

Stetson's BuckChris Look (STETSON) of Martha's Vineyard, Mass. was bowhunting in Connecticut when this beauty was taken. He had scouted the area out back in August, and had seen this buck traveling with a second buck, a nine pointer. When he returned to his ground blind in October, he had to make a tough decision as the smaller nine pointer walked by his blind !! Knowing the bigger buck was in the area, he let the buck walk, and was soon rewarded with the appearance of this fine deer. The wind was right, but as so often happens with trophy bucks, he sensed that something was amiss. As the buck was walking away, he made a fatal mistake by responding to a grunt call made by Chris. The Beman arrow flew true from his Hoyt bow, and the 190 lb. (dressed) 146" P&Y buck was his !
