The HHBBCC Constitution
PREAMBLE:
Nonsense, cried the group of we, and responded they to
the lameness of the game from yesterday, to abolish the grip
of apartheid and to exploit the boorish heritige of the
sport.
Article I - Name
This Organization shall be known as the Humboldt Hibachi
Beach Bocce and Croquet Club (HHBBCC).
Article II - Affiliation
We are affiliated with none other than nature, however,
do intend to seek affiliation with the United STates Croquet
Association (U.S.C.A.).
Article III - Membership
Section 1: Any person duly or unduly registered as a HSU
student fulffilling the membership requirements of the
HHBBCC
may be a member of the organization.
Section 2: Membership qualifications are as follows; no
smokers of cigarettes and no Coors drinkers.
Section 3: Each member will have an office created
especially for them on the basis of endeavorance to
perserverence. No
awards will be given on a material plane.
Article IV - Elective Officers
Section 1: All officers are appointed and subject to a
2/3 majority vote (stuffed ballot).
Section 2: Duties of officers are to be carried out under
the direct supervision of the Generalissimo acting as
liaison to the
dictator.
Section 3: The executive board will be composed of those
in power at the time of meeting.
Section 4: The positions of dictator and Generalissimo
are acquired by non-violent coup. This coup involves
usurping of a 51%
majority of the club members as well as victory in a Mano
vs. Mano croquet challenge.
Article V - Executive Board
In the sample club there is a president with other
elected officials. In our club we don't have that stuff.
Article VI - Meetings
Section 1: When two or more club members come together to
play croquet and or bocce an official meeting is in session
(as well as evert odd numbered Wednesday night at 8:00).
Section 2: Special meetings can be called at anytime by
anybody.
Article VII - Amendments
Section 1: Petitions can be submitted by any club member
at any regularly scheduled or special meeting.
Section 2: Procedure - amendments are voted upon by club
members orally with a show of yeh or nays.
Section 3: Validation - to be adopted, the amendment must
receive a six-ninths majority vote.
Section 4: Upon approval the amendment shall go into
effect immediately.
Article VIII - Enabling Clause
This constitution shall become the official governing
document of the Humboldt Hibachi Beach Bocce & Croquet
Club of Humboldt State University, upon ratification by a
two-thirds majority vote of the mebership, and approval and
acceptance by the Club and Activities Coordinator of
HSU.
