The Continental Divide, also known as the Great Divide, is found in the Rocky Mountains. This divide seperates the waters that drain westward to the Pacific Ocean and the waters that drain eastward into the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. The divide tends to follow the crest of the Rocky Mountains through the park.
