ARTICLE IV:  OFFICERS
     This organization shall have the following elected officers: one (1) Chairman, two (2) Vice Chairman, one (1) Secretary and one (1) Treasurer [optional].
     This organization being in its introductory year shall have a Chairman to be appointed by the official faculty moderator.
     The officers of the organization shall be elected for a term of one year and shall serve until their successors are duly elected.
     The President shall not hold the same office for more than two consecutive terms.
     The Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary shall not hold the same office for more than three consecutive terms.

ARTICLE V:  POWERS & DUTIES

     The powers and duties of the officers of the Young Republicans Club shall be:

CHAIRMAN – The Chairman shall be the chief officer of the organization and shall conduct all official meetings of the general organization. The Chairman shall complete all committee assignments with the approval of the official faculty moderator and/or general organization and shall be the ex-officio of all committees. The Chairman shall have general supervision over the projects and events organized and sponsored by the Young Republicans Club.

VICE CHAIRMAN – The Vice Chairman shall in the case of resignation, disqualification or absence of the Chairman, perform the duties of the Chairman. The Vice Chairman shall be the principal assistant to the Chairman and official faculty moderator. The Vice Chairman shall be responsible for such additional duties as may be prescribed by the Chairman and/or official faculty moderator.

SECRETARY – The Secretary shall have the responsibility to keep the records and proceedings of the organization. The Secretary shall be responsible to record the minutes of all official meetings, projects and official actions sanctioned by the officers and/or general organization. The Secretary shall have the ability to present the minutes of the previous official meeting upon advance notice.
