Here
in St. Anton I worked one winter at a hotel and in the spare time I was
on the hills. The winter 1999 was that one when houses and cars were covered
by all the snow.
The fear for avalanches were great and one day came one even down to the city. You were forbidden to go out. Polices were out for keeping people to stay inside.

After the winter I went to Buchs and worked as a waitress at this four
star hotel just ashore the beautiful lake of Viervaldstätter.
Buchs is only half an hours' ride from Luzern.
When the snow melted after that snow rich winter, the water level rose 50 cms. Temporary wooden langways made it possible to take you from one place to another.
The hotel's winecellar was also full of water and you had to wear on ribbon schoes everytime you should bring up a wine botte.
