Eldoret sits in the western highlands of Kenya and is a relatively cooler region with annual relief of 31cms (13inches).The Altitude of 2314 feet (842 metres) above the Mombasa beaches makes it an effort to breathe .This makes it the ideal training ground for many legendary Olympic-level Kenyan athletes.
The general economy of Eldoret comprises of tertiary industries like textiles with a number of factories. The staple activity though is agrarian with Milk plants,wheat farms and maize (corn) fields accounting for majority of this otherwise rural community. |
