Phranc's Diversion

Lovely Tupperware Lady

Phranc appeared out of nowhere, somewhere in the middle of the line of fancy guests on Donny and Marie show, if I recall, just after famous George Hamilton, the man who played Hank Williams in one of the worst biography movies ever shot in Hollywood. She was surrounded by bunch of tupperware, she sang "I'm you tupperware lady" and poor Donny and Marie looked completely disoriented. I really can't figure out what they were thinking of Phranc, but they certainly looked quite confused, without right questions. They seemed like they don't know much about their guest - but the guest ceirtanly seemed weired! They were asking questions like "so do you still sing or you just sell tupperware?" and with the blank look in their faces, asked "Why do you sell tupperware at all?"

Phranc just went on with her story, nicely presenting her tupperware asortment one by one. At one hillarious moment, when Donny and Marie were fighting wether tupperware fart or whisper, Phranc shot them down acting like a mother. This was by no doubt my favorite moment in the show. Phranc also talked about her partner and her kid, which was a very cute moment, but also a gentle scream for lesbian existance which went surprisingly smoothly on national television, in a show which targets lonely unemployed aunties before they start cooking thier lunches.

But something was left hanging in the air... Did people really understand Phranc? Did Donny and Marie understand who they had in the show? I don't know... Phranc and artists like she should appear more in public, and change the face of entertainment and media in all...
