Hmm, this obsession starts WAY back...to when they first showed up. I was nothing more than a toddler, but my mother loved them! Soon I had at least one stuffed one of every one (including cousins) and several sizes. This doesn't include the wonderful accessories to go with it. Like colouring books, blankets, cartoon shows, etc. (All the stuff that is showing up again! *lol*) I even had a plastic picnic table when I was 3 years old. This table, though, someone stole right out of our yard! I guess they were that popular...just don't try explaining why someone would steal a picnic table from a 3 year old to a 3 year old. I never got over that...*lol*...but it did break my heart at the time. Well if you flash forward a couple years, a few moves here and there...and you get a lost set of Care Bears. I lost the rest in a fateful move when I was 10 (same move I lost my CPK, the rest of my Rainbow Bright and Strawberry Shortcake dolls). I guess in this move, though I never thought about it, I lost all my childhood things. I still have a few, but *VERY* few. Anyway, in comes Ebay and my favorite stores. I haven't actually bought any of the old classics on Ebay yet, as I am constantly out bid! But I do buy the newer ones when I find them. I have also got some of the new things coming out, but check my collection for more info on those. There is also an updated information section on the new and extinct bears from the 1980s and on. Don't forget to check the Care Bear Identifier. This will tell you what you have or what is out there. In time there will probably be more, like links and such.
