Edinburgh from Edinburgh Castle. The
street with all the buses on it is Princes Street.

Here we have the changing of the guard at Edinbugh
Castle. I didn't get to witness this, but Mom did and she captured
in on film for me.

This is at Edinburgh Castle again.
The army is getting ready for a 21 gun salute in honor of Prince Phillip's
birthday, which is the same as Mom's birthday. Since Mom and Prince
Phil's birthday fell on the same day, they celebrated it on Monday.
Our tour guide for Edinburgh, Keith, told us that
they shoot the guns off everyday at 1pm. He said everyone asks why
they don't do it at noon, and he said it's cheaper to fire just one shot
instead of twelve.

This was our guide in Edinburgh.
He was kind enough to pose with Mom and then with about 8 other people
who weren't even with our group.

Here I am trying to stay warm again on top
of Edinburgh Castle. Once again the wind was quite chilly.

This is the Scotland National Gallery.
After our morning tour, we were on our own and we walked down Princes Street
and stopped for lunch at Princes Mall. We then walked to the National
Gallery and enjoyed the art there, and yes, they had some Van Goghs as
well.
After our stop here, we walked down Princes Street
again and then I sent Mom back to the hotel in a taxi, while I walked up
to the Royal Mile and roamed around. Later on I brought us some take
away, very unhealthy take away, by the way. Mom enjoyed some fish
and chips and I had some pizza. We also had some cheese and crackers
among other snacks. It was one of our best dinner and maybe the most
fun.
