Quezacotl

To get this GF, just access the Study Panel in the 2F Classroom, and go to the section about GF Information.  Quezacotl's attack is 'Thunder Storm', which causes Thunder damage to all enemies.

Shiva

This GF is obtained in exactly the same way as Quezacotl.    Shiva's attack is 'Diamond Dust', which causes Ice damage to all enemies.

Ifrit

This GF is at the Fire Cavern, to the East of Balamb Garden.  You will have to go there with Quistis, as a prerequisite to the SeeD Field Exam.  You must beat GF Ifrit in battle for it to join your party.  Use GF Shiva and Ice magic to weaken it fast.    Ifrit's attack is 'Hell Fire' which causes Fire Damage to all enemies.

Siren

This GF must be drawn during the boss battle with the Elvoret on top of the Dollet Communication Tower, during the SeeD Field Exam.     Siren's attack is 'Silent Voice' which is a non-elemental attack, but it may also cause the status change 'Silence' depending on the enemy.

Brothers

This GF is found at the Tomb of the Unknown King, northeast of Deling City.  Here is a quick explanation of how to obtain this GF.  Enter the Tomb of the Unknown King.  Take the 1st path on the right.  At the next intersection go right, at another intersection go right, and go examine the statue, which will attack you.  After you win this battle, turn back.  Go right at the first intersection, then go right at another intersection, and right again at yet another intersection.  Walk into the small room.  Stock some Float spells from the draw point, and examine the catch.  Head back, and go right at the first intersection, then go right at the next intersetion, and right again at another intersection.  Stock curas from the draw point, and save your game.  Examine the left corner, and the wheels should start to turn.  Head back and go right at the first intersection.  Then take the second left, and cross the bridge.  You will be attacked by the Brothers.  Cast Float on them to stop them regenerating.  Cast Protect on your party, and cast float on your party as well, so that you will avoid the Mad Cow Special attack of the Brothers.      Their attack, once they join your party is 'Brotherly Love', which causes Earth damage to all enemies.

Diablos

Before you head off on your mission to Timber, talk to Headmaster Cid, and he will give you a Magical Lamp.  Restore all your HP and save your game before using it.  Then, when you are ready, select this lamp in the items list, and you will be thrown into battle with Diablos.  Here are some hints to help you win:  Use Selphie's full-cure limit break if you end up with low HP after a Gravija attack.  Make sure you have alot of Phoenix Downs. Draw and STOCK some demis from him.  Then in the next round, cast a demi at Diablos, and he will return this attack by throwing a curaga at your party.  But this does not work if you draw and CAST the demi.       After you beat Diablos, and he joins your party, you can use him as a GF.  His attack is 'Dark Messenger'.  This acts like a huge Demi.  However, the reason why I don't think Diablos is such a good GF is that he misses some enemies, and the damage he causes depends on the HP of the enemy you are fighting.  Also, if you are in a boss fight, and the enemy has high HP, you can be pretty sure that Diablos is useless!  To see whether he will miss the enemy or not, so you don't have to bother with waiting for him to be summoned, is to cast a demi at the enemy.  If the Demi misses, Diablos will miss as well, but if the Demi removes HP from the enemy, then Diablos will remove HP as well.

Carbuncle

This GF has to be drawn on CD1 from the battle with the Iguions, during the parade for Sorceress Edea, when there is the assassination attempt.     When Irvine and Squall enter the Presidential Residence, before entering the hatch on the ground, walk South.  There you will find Rinoa being attacked by the Iguions.  You will then have to fight them to save Rinoa.  Watch out for their Magma Breath which will Petrify one character.    Carbuncle's attack is called 'Ruby Light'.  It is not really an attack, because it helps your party.  Carbuncle will cast Reflect on all your party.  This will reflect away all magic, even Cures, Curas and Curagas, so make sure you have the Item Command junctioned to at least one person (and make sure you have some Hi-Potions and Potions) if you are going to use Carbuncle.

Leviathan

This GF must be drawn during the battle with Master NORG.  Master NORG will be inside a sort of machine, with an orb on each side.  During the battle, NORG will say "BLUE-YELLOW-RED".  This is very helpful information.  Each orb is there to cast a spell on you, however the orbs can only cast spells once they have warmed up, shown by the orb becoming RED.  At first, the orbs will be BLUE, then as they start warming up, they will become YELLOW, but at the YELLOW stage they are still useless.  If you hit a YELLOW orb, it will cool down again and go back to a blue colour.  So, as soon as you see an orb turn YELLOW, hit it, and it will go back to BLUE.  If you do this all through the battle, the orbs will never cast a spell, and the battle will be very very easy.      Leviathan's attack is 'Tsunami', a huge tidal wave, which causes Water damage to all enemies.

Pandemona

This GF must be drawn during the battle against Fujin and Raijin in the Balamb Hotel.  To actually get involved in this battle, there are some things you must first do.  When you arrive at Balamb, you won't be allowed in, so speak to the people outside Balamb, then talk to the soldier near the entrance, and he will let you in.  Then go to Zell's house and speak to his mother.  (Now is a good time to win the Zell Card off her.)  Then go down to the pier, and speak with the soldiers.  Go to the hotel and speak to the two soldiers outside it, they will mention the captain.  Go to the station and talk to the hungry soldiers.  Then go back to the pier and talk to the soldiers.  Go back to Zell's house and talk to his mother.  She'll mention a soldier coming in to cook some fish at her house.  Go back to the station, and you will see that the soldiers there are all lying about on the floor.  Go down to the pier, and speak to all the soldier there.  Talk to the dog,

and it will start barking and run off.  Follow it to the station.  Then it will run into the train, and will chase out Raijin.  Go to the Balamb Hotel and you will fight him.  Beat him and then go inside the hotel to fight both Raijin and Fujin.  This battle can be a problem.  You should concentrate on killing Fujin (the woman) first, as she can use Support and Recovery magic.  First of all cast Protect on all your party members.  Then cast Blind on your opponents.  Raijin should now be useless.  Start attacking Fujin and watch out for her Sai attack.  She absorbs wind magic.  Raijin absorbs thunder, but you can still use GF Quezacotl until you beat Raijin because you will be attacking her and only her.  When she is beaten, start pummelling Fuijin.  Use GFs and this battle will be over quickly and easily.      Pandemona's attack is 'Tornado Zone', which causes Wind damage to all enemies.

Cerberus

After the Paratrooper attack, when Squall has saved Rinoa, head into Galbadia Garden, where you will see the others.  Go right, and enter the door on the right.  Head up the stairs to the first floor.  Go past Fuijin and Raijin and turn left.  Enter the door on the right, and speak to the student and you will get a key.  Go back to the save point.  Go back to the stairs and climb to the third floor.  Open the door and drop down into the Tennis court.  There is a Shell Draw Point.  Head up the stairs and into the building.  Continue along the corridor to the Central Square, where you will a monster in the middle.  Run up to it and it will attack you.  This is Cereberus, whom you will have to defeat for it to join your party.      This battle is pretty easy as well.  Just be sure to have some Dispel spells with you, to use on Cerberus whenever he casts Triple on himself.  Cast Haste and Regen on everyone, and assign someone the job of Curer.  This person will cure the others when they need it, and when he/she has nothing to do, he/she can attack as well.  You can easily win this battle by just casting GFs at Cerberus.      Cerberus does not attack the enemy when you cast him as a GF, however he serves to help you.  His 'Counter Rockets' will make everyone in your party able to cast Double or Triple spells.

Alexander

This GF must be drawn from the battle with Sorceress Edea.  After fighting Cerberus, head south and save your game, then take the path to the left.  Go through the door on the left.  Head back to the central room and take the path heading North, to the stairs.  Climb to the top and turn left.  Use the third key to unlock the lift.  Go to the top and then go right, where you will fight Seifer.  Then you will need to go to the Auditorium, to fight Sorceress Edea.  Save your game then go back to the lift, and go round then balcony, entering the door.      Alexander's attack is 'Holy Judgement' which causes Holy damage to all enemies.  It is very important to get this Guardian Force, because without it (and therefore without its Med Lv Up-RF ability), you won't be able to get GF Doomtrain.

This Guardian Force can be one of the easiest or hardest to obtain, depending on your view-point.  You MUST have GF Alexander before you can get GF Doomtrain.  To get Doomtrain, you will need certain items.  These are: 6 Steel Pipes, 6 Remedy+'s. and 6 Marlboro Tentacles.  Steel Pipes may be mugged from Wendigoes, found in the forests near Timber and in the large forest near Dollet.  Remedy+'s are obtained using GF Alexander's Med Lv Up-RF Ability.  10 Remedies refine into 1 Remedy+.  Marlboro Tentacles must be mugged from Marlboros, which are found in the Esthar Plains, Island Closest to Heaven and Island Closest to Hell.  For an explanation on how to kill Marlboros, click here.      You will also need the Solomon Ring, found at Tears' Point.  Just enter this place, and run down to the middle, where you will find a Draw Point and a small object near it.  Pick this up, it is the Solomon Ring.  When you have all the necessary items, just go to the main menu, go to Items, and select the Solomon Ring.  You will then have obtained GF Doomtrain.       Doomtrain's attack is 'Runaway Train', which causes physical damage and also  gives every status ailment to the enemy (as long as the enemy is weak to that status), and reduces the enemy's Vit stat to 0.  This GF is very useful, because it quickly weakens enemies and makes them useless.

Tonberry

To get GF Tonberry, you must go to the Centra Ruins, and in the first part of the ruins, just keep running around, and you will get into random battles with Tonberries.  For an explanation on how to kill Tonberries quickly, click here. Eventually, after you have killed about 20 Tonberries, the Tonberry King will appear.  Beat him and you will get GF Tonberry.       GF Tonberry's attack is 'Chef's Knife', this damages one enemy at random.

Cactuar

This Guardian Force is one of the best, in my opinion second only to Eden (yet while Eden has a long summon and does 5-digit damage, Cactuar has one of the shortest summons and can also do 5-digit damage)..  When you first obtain the Ragnarok, you will be on a sort of desert.  Fly to the small island just east of there, and you will see a green head popping up out of the sand.  Run into it, and this is Jumbo Cactuar.  Beat it and you will get GF Cactuar.  Towards the end of the battle, Jumbo Cactuar will start to hesitate.  This means he is considering running away, so now is the time to really pound him.  Jumbo Cactuar is weak against Water magic, so have someone casting GF Leviathan at him.       GF Cactuar's attack is called 'Thousand Needles' and this causes a certain amount of damage, depending on the GFs Level.  At Level 1, damage is 1000, and Level 2, damage is 2000 etc., and if GF Cactuar is at Level 100, damage is 10,000!  The same amount of damage is caused no matter what the enemy absorbs, or if it is in defensive mode.

Bahamut

You can obtain this GF by beating it in battle at the Deep Sea Research Centre.  For Help on the Deep Sea Research Centre, click here.       GF Bahamut's attack, 'Mega Flare' causes extreme Fire damage to all enemies.

Eden

This GF is the only one that can cause 5-digit damage to enemies.  It must be drawn from Ultima Weapon in the Deep Sea Research Centre.  For help on this, click here.       Eden's attack is 'Eternal Breath' that causes extreme damage to all enemies.
