200-odd years ago, Earth disappeared. In the instant it disappeared, the forces
of Magick ripped a hole in time and space, and created a new world for the race
it pitied, humanity. This world was like a giant garden of Eden, incredibly beautiful,
and for the most part, safe. That was until the Coalition States rose up, almost
like a black cloud over the world, and slowly took control of it while still in
a stage of infancy. The Coalition States were nearly defeated a few times by those
in tune with the power of Magick, though soon were unstoppable when they aquired
technology which killed Magick. For over 70 years, Zion has been held in an iron
grip by the oppressive government of the Coalition States... and that is where
we are now, 200 AE (After Earth).
