"Zhajvir" receives the inexhaustible inspiration for its
creative work and spiritual development from its artistic director, its
friend and teacher Kozyar Nataliya Yaroslavivna, who simultaneously is a
conductor of the choir. The idea to create a separate choir ensemble
occurred to her fife years ago, and since that time, step by step she has
been moving forward along the thorny path of her vocation, bringing into
life creative and spiritual ideas.
She is not only the talented teacher of the vocal art but as well
very bright and spiritually rich personality living the in the world of
each child and chorister, having conquered their hearts. This
ever-smiling, frank and amiable young lady gives love, warmth and comfort,
and of course beautiful lark song. It is great feeling of love which gives
birth to the professional music. This love coming from the stage reaches
the hearts of new and new admirers of the choir art. We want the world to
get to know about our director as much as possible, thus, please, make
acquaintance with her life and creative biography.
Kozyar Nataliya Yaroslavivna was born in Lviv in 1986, in the
family where the song could be heard all the time - it was mother's
lullaby, carols, folk songs. Grandfather and father had astonishing
voices, though were not professional singers. May be it was family love to
music, in particular to a song (her brother Oleg is a professional singer
and a teacher vocal singing in the Musical Institute in New Jersey), which
defined her future profession.
From year 1983 to 1987 she studied at the Lviv musical-pedagogical
college named after F. Kolessa specializing in piano (the teacher L.J.
Chehonina), conducting (the teacher M.O. Zajtseva), choir (the teacher
Z.M. Demtsyuh). During the studying at the college she became the laureate
in competition of young conductors among the students of the
establishment. She graduated from the college with honors and in the year
1987 she entered Lviv musical Academy named after M. Lysenko (at that time
it existed as Lviv State Conservatory named after M. Lysenko) choosing the
profession of choir conductor (the teacher B.D. Zavojsky).
During the studying at the Conservatory she became the laureate in
competition in conducting among the students of the establishment. In 1992
she graduated with honors. In the same year she took part in the
competition of young singers "Chervona Ruta" and was noted by a jury as a
talented singer.
While studying at the Conservatory she started working as a
choirmaster in the national choir of bandoreists "Dzvinochok" in the
Center of Children and Youth Creative Activity of Galicia (the director V.
Dychak). She toured with success in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland,
France, Belgium (1989 - 1996).
Since 1998 Nataliya Kozyar worked as a choirmaster in the Honored
vocal-choreographic ensemble "Rushnychok" (the director M. Romaniv) and
exactly at that time the idea of creation of an independent choir ensemble
appeared. The group of children from the choir "Zhajvir", which existed at
the Lviv children school of art ¹11 where Nataliya Kozar worked from 1990
to 1999, became the basis of the newly formed ensemble.
Since 2000 the choir "Zhajvir" has worked at the Center of the
Creative Activity. The choir includes the preparatory group (6-12 years)
and concert group (12 -25 years).
From 2000 to 2003 Nataliya Kozyar worked as well as the teacher of
choir at the children musical school ¹1 named after Kos-Anatolsky. During
the years of working at these establishments she has recommended herself
as person of great initiative and vigor, gifted organizer, diligent
pedagogue, and the most important as professional choirmaster.
During these several years of existence the chamber choir, led by
Nataliya Kozyar became a laureate of oblast, regional, all-Ukrainian and
even international competitions; the choir is leading active concert and
touring life in its native town, around Ukraine and abroad.
Nataliya Kozyar carries out magnificent methodical work; these are
seminars for the directors of the choir ensembles, open lesson for parents
and for colleague-choirmasters.
During the time of working with the choir "Zhajvir" Nataliya
Kozyar gave 6 great solo concerts (it is approximately 100 works) and 50
concerts; she also prepared near 25 arrangements of the choir works,
produced two audio albums - "Silver Song" with the Christmas program and
"My Soul" with the diverse by genre and style program.
Nataliya Kozyar also gives concerts as a solo vocalist; she is an
authority for colleagues and parents and is of an appreciation for her
students. For her diligent work Nataliya Kozyar was repeatedly awarded
diplomas of the Administration of Education of the Local Government and
Regional State Administration. In 2003, during the XVIII International
festival-competition "Silver Orpheus" hold in Kirovograd, she was the only
one awarded the diploma of "the best pedagogue of the vocal art". Brief,
but meaningful "BRAVO!"
