The middle ages are said to have been a superstitious time, where ignorant people believed in witchcraft, magical beings, dragons, vampires, elves, faries, and fantastic monsters. Many movies have been inspired by this. The medium of animated cartoons seems to have lent itself quite readily to this genre. Sometimes these films turned out wonderfully, sometimes they really stunk. Regardless, I tried to list all those movies here.
