This was my favorite place to be in Paris. Summer of 2000, there were free concerts, fantastic exhibition of photographs of the earth from the sky, beautiful flowers, and Parisians enjoying the sunshine. The free exhibit was a large world map and photos of the land by Yann Artus-Bertrand More pictures
Luxembourg Palace is today the seat of the Senate composed of 283 members. Marie de Medici desired a palace like her Pitti Palace in Florence. It was designed by Salomon de Brosse. Gardens are controlled by the Senate with specific areas designated for activities. The brilliant flower displays are changed three times a summer.
