Don Davis: HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL

Fresh still the success of The Matrix (1999), Don Davis demonstrates an excellent creative level in his music for the new version of this classic of the B series originally directed by William Castle, presenting a typical work of gender, full of force, excellently orchestrated, and with a stupendous main theme (Main Title) that serves as motor for the rest of the score. In total twentyfive cues, among those we may highlight the wild appearances of the choir, almost always accompanied by an equally devastating orchestra (for example, the terrifying "Dies Irae" that means Pencil Neck) or the ghostly and more avant-garde tone of Coagulatory Calamity. A terrific disk. M.A.F.
