A young composer, from which we have been able to listen the interesting Dante's Peak (1997) and Alien: Resurrection (1997), newyorker John Frizzell had already worked in the cinema of teenage terror with I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998) whose result should had surprise greatly the then screenwriter Kevin Williamson, which has not doubted to trust him the musical tasks of his opera prima as director. The result are fifteen varied orchestral cues, with different orientations and styles in agreement with the also diverse flow of the film, halfway among the comedy, the terror and the drama; in the best of cases, when it appears the sarcastic comedy to the style of Christopher Young (The Crossbow Accident), Frizzell demonstrates amply his ability, while in no moment the score becomes monotonous or repetitive, being always brilliant and attractive.
