The M31 gallery of... Japan tube portables

Koyo KR-451 "Parrot"

A four-tube radio, this is one of those rare Japanese SUBMINIATURE tube pocket sets, using the same sort of subminiature tubes as Emerson's 747 and Automatic's Tom Thumb 528, and so on and so forth... and it's also the smallest Japanese tube radio I've come across: 5" x 3 1/4" x 1 1/2"! I'm guessing its mfr date to be mid-'50s...
