Additional notes
The spaceframe uses 80% of the Pioneer class components with a smaller secondary hull. Reconfigured into a smaller overall starship. Many of the rooms are configurable into either staterooms for diplomatic use, or secondary med bays/sickwards etc.It contains a larger than usual number of shuttlecraft for use when large scale evacuations are needed and the transporters would not be suitable due to atmospheric or other reasons.
It does not have the option of being able to swap it's saucer like it's big sister, but it does have the ability to make atmospheric landings, if deemed necessary.
At least 2 of the 3 Supplemental quarters/med wards would normally be set up as medical wards. All the medical equipment is designed to be racked on the walls.
The diplomatic configuration uses less floor space than the medical one and therefore is designed to fit inside the floorplan of the medical wards, thus allowing the medical equipment to be stored behind false walls.
The naming convention for the Hawkeye class is names of notable medical personalities.
