Both Lambda Chi Alpha and Tau Kappa Epsilon are collecting non-perishable foods to help out those who are less fortunate. The TKEs started their food drive Thursday evening and will continue through Friday evening.
Scott Kumler, a senior business major and vice president of the TKE fraternity, is in his second year involved in

the food drive. "This has been our house's 9th year doing this food drive."
"We feel that this year will be very successful because we are passing out grocery bags to the residential areas." "We then will ask them to fill the bags with food and then on Friday we will come pick up their bags at their house or they can drop the bag off at our house," Kumler said.
"The food that we then collect will be

donated to the Home Sweet Home Missions, which then distributes the food to the homeless," Kumler added. Students can also drop off food at the TKE house, he explained.
"It feels really good to give back to the community. Some people have a bad image of fraternities, but we always try and help out the community and give back to the people," Kumler said. The TKEs do other community service as well.
