Matt Carrington

Jazz As A Motivational Tool was developed by S. Matthew Carrington. Mr Carrington has played professionally for forty years and has now focused his career on Jazz Education.  He has worked with such jazz and blues legends as Lionel Hampton, Jimmy Smith, B.B. King, James Brown, and Sam Cooke.

Over the last twenty years, Mr. Carrington has developed and conducted educational workshops, lectures, and programs concentrated primarily on music and jazz at the elementary, high school and college level.

He brings the unique perspective of a professional musician and a practicing educator to the design of the program and his work in the schools.
