Ground Handling
The Egyptian Government has
allowed another handling company beside Egypt Air to be established and
operate in 1992.
The new
handling company which was established beside
Egypt Air started its operation in Cairo Airport with the help
of partner
airlines, with the Egyptian Government being still a
major owner in it
thus hindering its progress in
the right manner.
The market in such a
field is very opened as nowadays airlines are in severe competition due to
open skies and the quality is becoming a major factor. In 1997 the
Egyptian government has allowed the creation of private Air Taxi companies
and is encouraging the creation of Egyptian Airlies beside Egypt Air.
Late
in 1997 they allowed the later to buy their own equipment for self
handling only, which means that the government is on the right track for
freeing the market and breaking the monopoly in handling
away from the 2
existing companies being Egypt
Air and EAS.
As no other company is
allowed to own equipment, all the agents are obliged to rent equipment
from the later. Link Aero Trading Agency has been engaged n Traffic
handling, dispatching and ramp supervision with its division in ground
handling.
We are now studying the market very carefully and looking
for a
partner in the field with experience in the international
market to be
ready to invest in the market when the government
allows the creation of a
new and third company to own ramp
equipment, which according to
our
studies is very soon..
As our division company is already engaged in such
a field with its exisiting clients, where we perform traffic handing,
dispatching
and Ramp supervision for, beside application for traffic
rights and accounts with Civil Aviation.
The Link team is already trained
in this field with its network
of offices, which will enable us to
penetrate the market of ramp handling equpment in a much smoother manner.
