General Info

• By the end of July the new administrative building will be inaugurated which will be for passports, customs services and aviation companies.
• At the moment Civil Aviation is working on adding more space to the parking position area , it will be increased with 5 parking positions bringing the total to 19 parking position.
• A contract will be signed next month for the new building, which will be dedicted to international traffic, the old building will be used for local traffic. The new building will increase the airport capacity from 1200 passenger per hour to 4000 passenger.
• By the end of 1998 Civil Aviation will finish the installation works for the new approach radar, which will help in reducing the landing time from 6 minutes to 3 minutes, which will increase the airport capacity and help airlines in saving fuel.
