Something New?
PLEASE!

Hi! I have something new! Loretta has spoken! and here's the info first published on the RRA list about her up and coming!

"Yes, it’s true that I’m working on a contemporary-set horror novel.
However,it’s unlikely to be too terribly terrifying or gross, because (a) I scare easily, (b) I am not a big
fan of the “yuck” school of writing, no matter what the genre. Anyway,
when the book’s done--sometime in the next decade--I’ll be happy to post
warnings, like “don’t read while alone at night in a motel room or 12th century Scottish castle”
or “ readers of delicate sensibilities should skip pages 237, 321, and 463-5” or “don’t read Chapter 4 at mealtime.”

It’s also true that I am working on an idea for a historical mystery/suspense
book set in early 19th C England. All I know at present is who’s dead, and
where the corpse is found. I have a vague idea why the victim has been
murdered. And I think I’m in love with the detective.

And I have a partially-completed historical romance in a coma. This is too
painful a subject for me to discuss. Having a book drop into a coma may be what drove me to horror.

No matter what fiction type the works are, readers can be reasonably certain
of encountering humor and some kind of romantic element. That is to say,
readers can be certain of such encounters IF the book(s) find a publisher.

I live in fond expectation of finding same, as I live with the insanely
optimistic belief that those who like the way I write will not mind my
writing different kinds of stories, as long as I do a good job. Loretta Chase"
