afterward my big girl

I went to Foley to a picnic went down on the hand car got

acquainted with Miss Minnie Lattrell. Had her for my partner.

Got acquainted with Miss Laura Hart.

Thursday, July 04, 1889

Staid at home in the forenoon was sick in the afternoon Bro.

Joe and I went up Ester Brook hunting and I killed a nice two

year old buck. Did not make any ??mashes this fourth.

Friday, July 04, 1890

I went to a picnic at Oak Park and a canoe at night. Had a

good time. I had Miss Annie Kerrick for my partner. Made

two or three mashes.

Saturday, July 04, 1891

We [ Northfield ] had a nice dinner at Mrs. Shulls in the

afternoon I took Nellie and Ralph took Maud and we went up

to a picnic in town. Stayed until 4 P.M. then went home. After

supper Arthur and I walked out two miles and then rode with

a farmer four miles farther. We had a nice time. There were

85 numbers out. Danced ten sets part of the time. I made a

mash on an old maid by the name of Rose Brown so another

fourth of July is gone never to return.
